Facilities and rooms that are available
The primary purpose of West Des Moines United Methodist Church is to carry out the ministries of the local church. West Des Moines Church has an active ministry to children, youth, adults, and senior adults. Our programs and our people are the top priority when it comes to the use of our church facility. West Des Moines United Methodist Church still wishes to expand its outreach into the community by offering the use of its facilities. No commitment for building use is finalized until the Room Use Agreement has been completed and executed by the Board of Trustees or its designee.
Sanctuary
Seats up to 300 people (including balcony); A/V capability, front and rear TV screens.
Grand Piano
Pipe Organ
The organ can only be played by WDMUMC’s staff.
Sound-Video System
Cameras, stand microphones, wireless microphones, Google fiber, and whole-church wifi. $75 for a 3-hour event.
Nursery
The nursery is available only by special arrangement with the Pastor
Friendship Room
Approximately 45’ x 51’.; Holds a maximum of 12 rounds with 96 chairs or 150 chairs set classroom style; A/V capability; Internet access; kitchen access.
Friendship Room Kitchen
Stove, coffee makers, refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, and sink.
Heritage Hall
Approximately 28’ x 42’; Holds a maximum of 18 long tables with 144 chairs; kitchen facility available.
Heritage Hall Kitchen
6-burner gas stove, Rational convection oven, two refrigerators, freezer, fully equipped, dishwashing room.
Wesley Center Classroom
Approximately 31’ x 42’; Holds 40 chairs set classroom style or 6 long tables with 48 chairs; A/V capability; kitchen access; limited meals may be served.
The Café
Approximately 32’ x 38’; Coffee Shop atmosphere when set up with 8 round tables with 32 chairs plus additional soft seating – seats a maximum of 40; Sound system, internet access, A/V capability, and a piano. No full meals allowed; beverages and snacks may be served.
