Our Building Use Policy is set by the Trustees.

As part of our outreach ministries, space is provided in our church for use by the community — scout groups, human services programs, denomination-related activities and others.   Due to the cost of utilities and maintenance, it is necessary for fees for the use of the building to be charged to groups that have not been specifically approved by the Trustees.  Building Use Policy is as follows:

• Church operating hours
Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Members are asked to schedule church meetings/events within these hours, if at all possible.

• Fees
Classrooms: $15 per hour
Heritage Hall, Friendship Room, Wesley Center, Sanctuary: $30/hour
A donation is requested – but not required – when members use the church for family celebrations, meetings, and special events not related to church activities.

• Weddings
Information about wedding fees is available in the church office.


The categories of building users and fees assessed:

 Youth – scouts. No charge.
 Human services – AA, Alanon, WIC, Blood Drive, SHIIP. No charge.
 Non-member Methodist-related – Walk with Emmaus, district/conference meetings, Board of Ordained Ministry. No charge.
 Member usage for non-church related activity – donation requested at current hourly building usage fee. No billing. (PEO, birthday, anniversary and graduation celebrations)
 Church Group activity – No Charge. (Cookie walk, Sunday School social, etc.)
 Recitals – Sanctuary hourly usage fee (2-hour minimum) plus $50 honorarium for the audio technician, if one is needed. Usage fee and audio technician honorarium is assessed for rehearsal and performance. Building use fee paid within 2 weeks after the reservation is made. The fee is refundable if the recital is canceled.
 All Other – Charge based on established fees and bill based on established billing schedule

Please contact the Trustees chair if a group requesting use of the church does not fall into any of the above categories.

Facilities charge for outside groups effective 1/7/11:

 Classroom usage – $15/hour.
 Heritage Hall, Wesley Center, Friendship Room and sanctuary (excluding weddings) usage – $30/hour. Events scheduled in the sanctuary must end by 3:30 pm to allow for set up for Saturday evening service.

NOTE: Use this fee structure to request a donation for member usage for non-church related activities.

Building Hours:

Outside Groups will be able to only use the church during stated operating hours.  Members will be asked to cooperate with these hours when scheduling meetings. Weddings are the exception to the building hours.

Mon – Thurs 7 am to 10 pm

Sunday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

 Staff members, other than custodians, are responsible for lock up for member groups using the church after hours.
 On Sundays, the church will be locked at the conclusion of the last scheduled event. Therefore, the church may be locked before 4:30 pm.
 The United Methodist Church does not participate or condone gambling in any form, including raffles. Any group using our facilities is expected to respect this long-standing position of the United Methodist Church
