WELCOME TO

WEST DES MOINES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Come as you are. We honor and welcome the diversity you bring.

Please pray this prayer each day

God, you give us life.  When we might give up or give in, you refresh our lives.  When we wonder or worry about the way ahead, you sustain us with life-giving wisdom.  May the plans we make today be our way of saying thank you.  May our work bring life-giving grace to others.  The world so desperately needs the life you offer.  Amen.

Midweek Refuel

Midweek Refuel will not be held until the current health crisis is over.

OUR WALK THROUGH LENT TO THE JOY OF EASTER MORNING

All in-person gatherings have been canceled until the crisis is over.  Worship services will be Livestreamed on Facebook and our website.

Lent is a time to walk out of the clutter of our lives and walk deeper into our faith. This year, our Lenten season is based on the book The Walk, Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life by Adam Hamilton.  Our faith is not just about what we believe, it’s about how we live. Each Sunday, we look at one of the practices and then during the week, we will explore ways to put these practices into action. If you would like a copy of the book, contact Morganne, our Christian Education Director. The cost is $10.

WDMUMC will not be holding in-person Sunday services or Wednesday night programming until the crisis has passed.

Our staff will be Livestreaming a worship service on Facebook and our website at 8:00 and 9:30 A.M. on Sundays.  You can find these services on Facebook at WDMUMC.  If you do not have Facebook you can see them on our website by clicking on the Livestreaming icon.  You do not need to be a Facebook member to view the website Livestreaming.

March 29 is Youth Sunday. We will have only one service Livestreamed at 9:30 a.m.

Download Bulletin for 3/29 service.

Watch the 8:00 A.M. service from 3/22/2020 below (DOWNLOAD the bulletin to follow along): Check back each week for the video of the service until public gatherings are allowed again.  To skip the announcement slides fast forward to the 15:00 mark by using the slider at the bottom of the video.
