Born in Belgium and raised in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), Emmanuel Naweji joined us here in West Des Moines in July, 2008. This is his first assignment in the United States beyond his seminary, where he studied at Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Evanston, IL. Prior to Garrett he studied agriculture and business at Africa University in Zimbabwe.
Emmanuel and his wife Lydia now have a daughter born on March 13, 2009. Her name is Emly (the letters E & M are from Pastor Emmanuel' s first name, and L& Y are from Lydia' s name).
Pastor Emmanuel enjoys music, soccer, movies (especially comedies) and tennis. He likes to travel and to swim. As a child he liked to camp and to discover new places in the bush and forests of his native land.
