Worship is the heart of West Des Moines United Methodist Church. We believe that worship is essential to our personal and community faith formation. Through worship we participate in the birth, teachings, life, suffering, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. It shapes us into authentic disciples of Jesus Christ.
It is our intent and desire to use a variety of worship experiences, styles and methods to help each person be drawn into a deeper personal commitment to Jesus Christ in their daily life.
Contemporary - Saturdays at 5:00 p.m.
Are you looking for a modern, music-oriented, faith-based message? Come and hear God's message in this informal contemporary spirit while worshipping with our Praise Band. If you are young at heart or young in spirit, come check us out!
Traditional - Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
If your heart is captured by the magnificence of a liturgical style and a wonderful pipe organ, then come join us for one of these services.
The Great Thanksgiving (Holy Communion) - served the first Sunday of each month
The United Methodist Church practices open Communion, which means that the table is open to all persons regardless of religious affiliations or age. We serve grape juice out of respect for those who could not partake if we served wine.
