Leading our Contemporary Worship Service (11 a.m. each Sunday) is our Praise Band. These folks send the Holy Spirit pulsing through your veins with a lively mix of inspirational blues, rock, gospel, adult contemporary (a.k.a. oldies). It has great appeal to people young and old alike.

Bob Pace, who plays an awesome guitar and sings in our praise band, was inspired to do something special to help area flood victims in June 2008. What evolved was an amazing Flood Benefit Concert that he performed, along with help of Pastor John and the Missions Committee. The end result was an amazing show that featured many of the best blues/rock musicians in Central Iowa. Nearly 300 members and blues fans attended this concert, held outdoors in our parking lot. More importantly, over $45,000 in funds raised to help our neighbors in the Birdland Park neighborhood of Des Moines. What a blessing it is to have talented members like Bob Pace and the supporting cast who are finding ways to make an impact. Now THAT'S changing lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
