Our Current Study
eqmim_med.jpg We are currently studying the daily devotional, "Equipping the Man in the Mirror" by Patrick Morley, among others. It's a nice, light read with tons of application into our daily lives — it's all about the common challenges we face in an effort to become better Christian dads and husbands.

If you'd like a free copy of this magazine (each issue covers two months) see Dan Johnson. Or click on the image to learn more and subscribe on your own.

Join us up in Room 308 at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. The topic for each week follows our study guide.

So, What is Dads Club?

Dads Club here at WDMUMC is something we're very excited about. Are you looking for an opportunity to learn new ways to grow as a dad, to share your experiences and learn from other dads? Are you open to the guidance our heavenly Father provides on these topics? Then it sounds like you're perfect candidate for Dads Club.

We're looking for a handful of dads who are willing to lead small groups in discussion and the lessons outlined below. Let me know if you're interested in being part of the Dads Club Leadership Team.
Please contact Dan Johnson (use the form to the right or call 557-2003 weekdays, 440-1506 home) to become part of this formation process.

Our Recent Study

247_Dad.jpgStarting in the fall of 2006, we began the study of the 24/7 Dad™ Christian-based version. The purpose is to help the church equip men to be involved, responsible and committed fathers, ultimately guiding them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Each dad who participates receives a study guide or workbook. The class is very informal and interactive — we have lots of fun. The study is often just a starting point for some pretty lively discussions.

This 24/7 Dad Christian-based study was developed by our friends at The National Fatherhood Initiativenfilogo.jpg (see www.fatherhood.org). Some of us from United Methodist Men who traveled to the Purdue conference in July 2005 saw a very compelling presentation on this study by Greg Austen from NFI. He gave us a taste of why this program can really change the lives of dads (and their families) here in Central Iowa.
