Mission Statement:
To support, encourage and help direct leadership for well-planned and organized worship services.
General Responsibilities of the Coordinating Council:
To provide a place where persons overseeing various aspects of the Sunday and other worship services may plan and coordinate.
To cooperate and consult with the pastors in planning worship.
To educate the congregation regarding the meaning, purpose and practice of worship within our United Methodist tradition.
To recruit and train persons to share leadership in all the various dimensions of worship (acolyte, usher, music, etc.)
To assist the congregation to be open to using worship resources from other traditions (old and new), and multiple ethnic/racial sources.
Persons on the Worship Coordinating Council:
Six (6) congregational representatives, who shall be equally divided into classes. (One of these representatives shall serve as the Council Chair).

Responsibilities of the Coordinator:
Guide the work of this work area throughout the year, planning agendas, and presiding at meetings.
Take part in and represent the concerns of worship to the Church Council.
Keep the local congregation informed about issues related to worship and the goals of the work area.
Participate in training experiences that are related to worship.
Be accountable to Charge Conference through the Council.
Committee Members' Responsibility:
Attend scheduled worship work area meetings, participate with discussion, volunteer for special projects as needed, bring to meetings and observed concerns to share; be supportive to committee and listening ears to the general congregation.
